How To Remove Cover Of The Gear Shift Of A 2010 Toyota Tacoma

Anyone know how to remove the leather shift boot?
I presume i will need to popular the bezel at the base of the boot, but at what locations do i practise this so i dont snap it?

I have changed my shift knob and now the kick but rattles on the stick. I am wanting to take it apart and rig something up, but starting time need to remove the boot.

I have an auto, but looking at the transmission information technology would appear that you have to remove the knob, then the upper console assy (plastic that snaps on) and then remove the four screws on the kick.

I found this in the section for transmission removal. It has a bit more than detail. You don't take to remove the bombardment connection unless y'all are removing the whole tranny.

Are there whatever better instructions on removing the "upper console panel sub-assembly" ? I recall that's going to be my most difficult part. I actually thought the bezel around the leather shift boot would exist something i can pop out? tin I?

Are those instructions from an SR model? Are at that place instructions for 4x4 DC OR M/T?
I seem to have an extra bezel compared to what is in your picture. Is that argent bezel at the base of the shift boot only removable? Or exercise i need to follow instructions to take out entire panel area?

The transmission sections for the console are not specific to SR5 vs OR vs Ltd or any other model. Just auto vs transmission. Like I said, I have an auto so my panel box is different. Co-ordinate to the instructions, you have to remove the entire console box. The silver ring is part of information technology, not separately removable. Somewhat like the chrome around the loving cup holders.

You were correct it was one piece.
Nonetheless the bezel can be removed in one case the console is removed.
